Almost Portraits
"It's one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like, it's another thing to make a portrait of who they are."
- Paul Caponigro.
I believe that portraits speak for the person through the image. An image can tell their story, personality, and who they are, and this series explores individual stories. The baby is in her element, trying to catch a nap between the chaos around her. The story unfolds when we look at the bagpiper, working in the cold, away from his family during the pandemic. We then see a girl's joy in the warm sunlight of a crisp winter morning. The black and white photo shows how strong the subject's values are and how meaningful they are to him.
